Chin Up Ink Drawing

This is the first piece I tried to tackle after picking up a set of Sakura Pigma Micron Pens and I put it aside for a while, knowing that once I had more practice with the pens I'd want to go back and work on it again. She's complete now and I am hooked on these pens. The tips don't clog or dry out like some other pens I've used, and the ink is archival and very black. Even the 005 size is consistently smooth.

Octopus Hug

I've just finished my second illustration on mid-tone paper and I am really liking this substrate. This one is a 5"x7" ink and pencil drawing on grey paper. I can't get enough of the octopus theme. Seems that my thumb is healing up, slowly but surely, so back to the drawing table!

Aquatic Chuckboy Dunny

There's nothing that warms my heart like when someone receives a piece of work from me and then asks for another. That was the case with this custom Chuckboy Dunny. The collector who commissioned it had previously received his Ocean-Life set of customs. He liked the eye on the octopus Dunny and let me run with that. The above photos show what I came up with after letting my mind journey to the deep for a bit. Hope you like it.

Sea Turtle Dunny in Progress

My last blog post was about a series of aquatic customs I am creating for a collector. Here is the in-progress shot of the sea turtle, and the octopus Dunny in the background. I have started on the lion fish as well, but will save that for the next post. After the lion fish will come the trigger fish and diver, then the 8" whale shark Munny. Octopus Dunny in Progress

I am currently working on a series of pieces for a collector, all based on his diving adventures in Thailand. There will be 5 Dunnys: An octopus, a lionfish, trigger fish, sea turtle, and diver. There will also be an 8" Munny customized as a whale shark. The above photo is the work in progress on the octopus. I will try to keep posting updates on the whole collection as I am working on them.
