Collective Con Jacksonville, FL 2023

Collective Con is not to be missed! This is North Florida's biggest and best convention for all things comic books, movies, gaming, anime, cosplay, and more. This year, 2023, I'll be a guest author for my two fantasy novels, Sewn Together and Fallen Elder, in the Tale From Tiltwater series. Get the books at the convention or if you already have them, bring yours to have them signed. I'll be there all three days, and will have all of my artwork there for you as well. See you soon!

You can also have them delivered to by ordering at useeverycolor.com/shop/novels

No Face drawing from Spirited Away

Like many others, I've been intrigued and entertained by the Studio Ghibli films, and one of my favorites is Spirited Away. The character who goes by the name No Face is arguably the most interesting and important character in the film, as he teaches us a lesson of gluttony, while also teaching others a lesson of greed. I drew No Face without a reference photo, to offer a completely new example of the character. As a tea drinker, I also added a cup for No Face, since he enjoyed some tea in the movie, and also included gold nuggets falling from his hand.

The original work is 5"x7" colored pencil and watercolor on Strathmore Toned Tan paper.
Prints and originals are available at useeverycolor.com

New Drawings

One of my favorite things about exhibiting at Comic Book Conventions is being able to draw live for people who are curious about the process of making art. While showing work at the Long Beach Comic Con (Oct 29-30, 2011) I came up with these two ACEO drawings which were small enough to complete while people were watching. Both drawings are now available in my Etsy Shop. You can click on either to go directly to the listing. They are just $19 each and would make great Christmas gifts :)

SeaClops Marshall Official Reveal

The Tenacious Toys Custom Marshall Blind Box series has officially been released, and the chase figure I posted as a teaser HERE has been collected so I am revealing for the first time the full design. This piece is about 4" tall and painted with acrylics on a vinyl Marshall (64Colors) production piece.

I was inspired to go with a deep sea theme, with some outer-space elements in it as well. These are things I have been exploring with a few recent and upcoming pieces of work. As a former aspiring marine-biologist-to-be, I still have a strong connection to the mysteries of the sea, and love weaving that element into my art.

I want to extend a sincere 'thank you' to Benny at Tenacious Toys for inviting me to be a part of this series, and to 64 Colors for creating a great base to paint on. I also want to thank all the other artists in the series for bringing it all together - NEMO, ZAM, Mr. Den, Leecifer, OsirisOrion, Steve Talkowski, Ian Ziobrowski, LYSOL, Rolo, Phetus, Brent Nolasco, and Spanky Stokes.

The next customs (other than Beast Buddies) that I will reveal will be the NYCC exclusives I am finishing up, also for Tenacious Toys. These pieces will be available at their booth during the 2010 NYCC event October 8-10 at the Javits Center in New York City.
