Drawing a Fantasy Dragon Video by Bryan Collins

It's been a while, but I've just released a new video where I show you the progress of drawing the book cover art for my third novel, Reckless Endeavor. In the video I also share a few tips for making art full-time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and questions for future videos. Check it out at https://youtu.be/SfelBzuutRs?feature=shared

Reckless Endeavor (A Tale From Tiltwater 3) Cover Art

The wait is almost over! Reckless Endeavor, the third book in the Tale From Tiltwater series, is finished and off to printing, with the eBook release happening March 8th, which is opening day of Collective Con in Jacksonville. God willing, the paperbacks will also be available that same weekend at the convention.

This installment completes the story (for now) and has twists and turns and events more bizarre that I had anticipated. Your reviews and comments about Sewn Together and Fallen Elder have been beyond anything I could hope for, and I believe Reckless Endeavor will not let you down.

If you can't make it to Collective Con, you can pre-order Reckless Endeavor now at UseEveryColor.com

God bless,
Bryan

A Tale From Tiltwater Book 2 is Coming

As Sewn Together (A Tale From Tiltwater Book 1) is being enjoyed by readers around the globe, where lockdowns and self isolation abound, I'm writing the second installment of the story. I don't have an official title for Book 2 as of yet, but the first draft is just past the halfway point. I've been working to enhance the craft of storytelling by reading more books of fiction, studying books of instruction, listening to lectures and podcasts, and just daydreaming about the characters and their situations in a more present manner.

If you've already read Sewn Together, I think you will be very pleased with this second book. There's a new depth and complexity to each character, their motives, their fears, their desires, and their secrets. There's a suspense that looms through the entirety of the story, as well as a multitude of predicaments all happening at once and in stages. Sewn Together really focuses on Keskin and Chance, while Book 2 digs in to Velina, Tilvia, a new character named Yandy, and of course, Rez and Silver Marlow.

For those who have enjoyed the ebook version of Sewn Together and would like a signed paperback, you can get one from my Etsy shop at www.bryancollins.etsy.com

If you're ready to enter the world of Gedena for the first time, you can get the paperback, or download the ebook from any major ebook retailer at books2read.com/sewntogether

Foomi Sea Monster

This Sea Monster is the first Kidrobot Foomi I've had the pleasure of customizing. I was given the request of creating a multi-eyed sea creature on the Foomi figure. He stands a little over four inches tall and was painted with acrylics. If you are interested in having me customize a figure for you, please email me at bryancollinsart@gmail.com or see the easy-order customs in my Etsy Shop.

Outside In at Art Whino

"Outside In"
Two Man Show Featuring
Aaron Jasinski & Bryan Collins
June 23rd 8-11pm

Outside vs Inside. We experience things quite differently depending on if we are observing them or a part of them. Viewing a challenge, such as attending college or approaching an attractive person, can seem like a big, intimidating thing. By the time you are in your 2nd or 3rd year of college or have become good friends with that good looking person, the previously daunting situation no longer feels so menacing.

Further, there are some who find solace in living as outsiders and prefer to rarely engage in socially inclusive circumstances. Punk rockers, anarchists, artists, musicians, scientists, mathematicians, bookworms, and video gamers are just a few examples of chosen lives and identities that comfort those who prefer the outsider lifestyle. This exhibit seeks to tell some of these stories in the whimsical fashion that Aaron Jasinski and Bryan Collins are known for.

Saturday, June 23rd, from 8-11pm
Location:
Art Whino Gallery
120 American Way
National Harbor, MD 20745

Reception begins at 8pm

Show end date: August 11th, 2012

The event is FREE and open to the public.

Daily Drawing 50

My daughter said I should draw a pony today. I told her I would if I could do it my own way. We argued a while about how it should look like her "My Little Pony" but I settled it by teaching her to use tracing paper to draw her own pony. Here's mine.

New prints, process

I am glad to finally release some new prints, and with a new process as well. I have been experimenting with many print processes over the past year, and working hard to come up with the highest quality prints at the lowest cost. This effort means that I can now offer limited editions at the lowest prices possible. Wisdom (5x7) is just $12 and As You Know (8x10) is $25.

These prints have been released in an edition of just 25 each. Hopefully they will sell out quick at these prices so you will get a higher, quicker return on your investment.

Each print is made with the highest quality HP inks from huge files, and printed under maximum dpi settings. Instead of photo paper, these are on bright white 110lb premium cardstock. A white border provides easy matting without losing any of the print area under a mat or frame. Signed and numbered at the bottom in the white area.

Prints arrive to you in a removable polypropylene sleeve and braced flat. I never roll prints. Please message me if you have any questions!

Purchase at
www.bryancollins.etsy.com or www.bryandrinkscoffee.com in the SHOP. I accept credit cards through Paypal. ~Bryan

$1 Original Robot Drawing on Myspace

$1 ORIGINAL drawing and signed print auction going on at my Myspace blog.

This is a new Myspace blog auction for the original drawing, "Alpha Seven", and a 5"x7" signed print of the finished painting. This drawing measures approximately 10.25"x13.25" and was made with graphite on archival, acid-free drawing paper. Due to the strange size of this drawing, I will personally mat it to 16"x20" if you want. This will be a $15 addition to the winning bid if you want it done. A frame shop will charge quite a bit more. I will mat it in black unless you prefer another color.

This drawing was too big for my scanner, so the graphite reflected the lighting a bit when I took the photo. The drawing itself is darker than you see in the photo. It's nice, I promise

Bidding starts at just $1. To bid, enter your comment in my Myspace Blog with the amount of your bid. To outbid the person above you, please make your bid at least $1 higher. Winning bidder agrees to pay $4.00 shipping, and complete payment within 5 days of the auction's end. Paypal or money orders are accepted. Please message me if you have
any questions.

Bidding ends Wednesday, March 18th at 9pm mountain time (11pm east coast, 8pm west coast). Have fun bidding!
