A Tale From Tiltwater Book 2 is Coming

As Sewn Together (A Tale From Tiltwater Book 1) is being enjoyed by readers around the globe, where lockdowns and self isolation abound, I'm writing the second installment of the story. I don't have an official title for Book 2 as of yet, but the first draft is just past the halfway point. I've been working to enhance the craft of storytelling by reading more books of fiction, studying books of instruction, listening to lectures and podcasts, and just daydreaming about the characters and their situations in a more present manner.

If you've already read Sewn Together, I think you will be very pleased with this second book. There's a new depth and complexity to each character, their motives, their fears, their desires, and their secrets. There's a suspense that looms through the entirety of the story, as well as a multitude of predicaments all happening at once and in stages. Sewn Together really focuses on Keskin and Chance, while Book 2 digs in to Velina, Tilvia, a new character named Yandy, and of course, Rez and Silver Marlow.

For those who have enjoyed the ebook version of Sewn Together and would like a signed paperback, you can get one from my Etsy shop at www.bryancollins.etsy.com

If you're ready to enter the world of Gedena for the first time, you can get the paperback, or download the ebook from any major ebook retailer at books2read.com/sewntogether

Sewn Together Paperback

Print is not dead! Although eBooks have revolutionized the way we read, and our ability to carry a nearly infinite number of books all in one device, there's something immersive about turning the pages of a good novel. Feeling the weight of the story in your hands, clutching the book for a moment as you process a plot twist, grieve over the loss of a character, or let a beautiful moment linger—these are all irreplaceable experiences. For that, I've released the paperback version of Sewn Together. As a self-published author, you won't be able to drive down to Barnes & Noble to get one. Saint Augustine residents and visitors can pick one up at Zora Bora Gallery and the Coconut Barrel, while Jacksonville folks can get one directly from me at the Riverside Arts Market on Saturdays. Then, of course, there's always the mail. You can order a few different packages on Etsy, or if you just want the paperback itself, they're on Amazon.

If you're still leaning towards the eBook version, no problem! Sewn Together is available for Kindle, Nook, Apple products, and more. I can even get you a PDF version if you want it. Check out books2read.com/sewntogether for a list of digital vendors, or here's the link to the eBook on Amazon.

After you read the book, and hopefully have enjoyed the fast paced adventure, strange characters, death-defying moments, and bizarre lands, consider leaving a review wherever you made your purchase, and on Goodreads. This helps others discover the story for themselves, and sharing great stories is one of the best parts of life.

Thank you, and happy reading
Bryan

Sewn Together - Bryan A. Collins - eBook Release

Get ready for a wild romp through an ever-changing world.

The photo says "Today Is The Day", but this pic was actually posted yesterday. However, now every day is the day, because my debut novel, Sewn Together (A Tale From Tiltwater 1) is now live and available to download.

The Island of Tiltwater is home to strange beasts, unpredictable magic, and a teenager with a thirst for adventure. Unfortunately for Keskin Ridwolf, his family’s once-great name has brought contention to his homeland. As Keskin struggles to find redemption, the fate of Tiltwater is threatened by a vengeful evil, imprisoned with a magical barrier by Keskin's own family almost a century ago. Will Keskin be the hero he desperately wants to be, or is he rushing towards the same horror that nearly destroyed the Ridwolf name?

"The characters really make this world feel alive. I cared for them, I rooted for them, I felt emotion from them." - Twich

"Super creepy and cool...I laughed out loud...reminds me of...The Chronicles of Narnia." - E. Parry

"I was able to fall right into the story every time that I picked the book up, and had a hard time putting it down." J. Bomyea

"I really loved the ending and very much want to see where it goes from there." J. Bryan

FINAL WEEK - Sewn Together eBook release is June 1st, 2020

It's hard to believe that the release of my first novel, Sewn Together, is just one week away! I started writing this book at the beginning of October 2019 and it's about to go out into the world. For those of you who have followed my art journey over the years, I hope you will give me a chance as an author. For those of you who are finding me for the first time through the book, I hope you'll give me a chance as an artist. Either way, I'm very grateful for you and your involvement, in whatever capacity, as I do my best to inspire and entertain you through drawings, paintings, and stories.

My new author Instagram account is at @bacauthor

Sewn Together: First Draft Complete

I can't believe I am writing these words but here they are: The first draft of my first novel is complete! This moment seems to have taken forever but at the same time, I feel it has come so soon. It seems just days ago that I asked my children if Daddy should write a book but that was actually the beginning of October 2019. Now, at the end of January 2020, the story is written. Four months, nearly 82,000 words in twenty chapters, and countless cups of coffee have birthed the first adventure on the island of Tiltwater.
Stage two is self editing. I need to go read the whole thing, catching typos and filling plot holes, making the story as air tight as possible. I want your experience in reading Sewn Together to be the best it can be. The book is still on target to release in paperback and eBook late spring to early summer. Please consider joining my author Facebook page below for updates and discussion. I really can't wait to share this novel with you. I truly believe that it's a fun, exciting, and poignant adventure. Thank you for your continued support!

Excerpt from Sewn Together by Bryan A. Collins

Sewn Together: A Tale From Tiltwater is in the final stages of first draft. I was hoping to complete the first draft this week but as usual, life gets in the way. I know, I know...it's only Tuesday but I've had a few things pop up on my schedule that we're anticipated. There's still a possibility to finish it this week and I will do what I can to hit my target but I won't rush. Pre-orders are not up yet so there's no reason to force the ending.

If you're interested in being a beta reader, head over to the Facebook group and comment on the post about it. Beta readers should be getting the first complete read in about one or two weeks.

Sewn Together: A Tale From Tiltwater

I started real work on the final encounter this morning in my upcoming fantasy adventure novel, Sewn Together. While the title isn't carved in stone until the book is actually published, I expect Sewn Together to be it. This is the first book in a series to take place on the fictitious island of Tiltwater, so this and all subsequent books from the series will be subtitled, A Tale From Tiltwater. Here's a snippet from the ongoing first draft of book one. I'd love to read your comments.

They looked down at her as a vine slithered out and grabbed Tilvia by the leg, snatching her away from them. Keskin reached instinctively and grabbed the vine as it whipped past him, digging his heals in for a deadly game of tug-o-war.

I'm not posting much about the book on my art pages, so consider following my author Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/bacauthor if you are a fantasy reader.

I'll start posting sketches of characters soon, so stay on the lookout for them. Any art related posts such as those will be shared across all of my social media accounts but again, if you're interested in the upcoming books, follow my author Instagram @bacauthor and join the discussion on Facebook below.
