John L. Sullivan Prints

The Art Whino gallery in Washington DC held a John L. Sullivan tribute show at their 2011 G40 exhibit and I was asked to create a painting for the show. This is an 11"x17" print of the piece I created for the exhibit. It is called "All-Star Knuckles".

These open edition prints are printed on 110lb bright white card stock and hand signed on the bottom right as seen in the photo. All of the photos seen here are of the actual print. Your print ships flat, braced with foam board, and in a removable, protective, polypropylene sleeve. Please message me with any questions - bryan@bacstudio.com

Purchase at www.etsy.com/listing/77352129/all-star-knuckles-11x17-print

New Art Whino Website

If you haven't been to ArtWhino.com in a while, now is the perfect time to go check it out. They have just made some major changes and updates, particularly to the 'Available Artwork' section and they have added a 'Store' where you can grab some limited edition artist's vinyl, DIY vinyl, and more.

The 'Available Artwork' section includes work by folks such as Caia Koopman, Dust, Graham Franciose, Paul Chatem, Ken Keirns, Mike Giant, and your's truly.

The new site has a link to their blog where you can keep up with what's new for the Art Whino artists and the gallery itself. The exhibit listing is easy to find and well laid out. Tweets from Twitter are on the 'About' page, along with gallery hours, phone, location, and submission processes to name a few. Check it out and feel free to comment here about what you think of their new site, and be sure to follow Art Whino on Twitter @artwhino

Life Bear, and the Art of Life

Aug 29, 2009 :: Art Whino / Life With Cancer foundation
~Art of Life group show for "Life With Cancer" foundation, 5pm-9pm @ 8411 Pennell Street, Fairfax, VA 22031

This is my latest acrylic on 3.5" vinyl Teddy Troop. I created this piece specifically for the "Art of Life" benefit exhibit for Art Whino and the Life With Cancer foundation. Please call Art Whino at (301)567-8210 for availability or questions about the exhibit.

For this piece I wanted to include elements that represent life, so I chose a spring motif with the blossoming cherry tree and the birds nesting on their eggs. The paper airplane on the back is a thing I occasionally include in my work. To me it represents a child's innocence, freedom, and having a light spirit.

If you would like a custom Teddy Troop painted just for you, please email me at art@bryandrinkscoffee.com

Thank you for everything

The opening night of "Proof of Faith" at Art Whino was fantastic. I was overwhelmed by the amount of support I received from people who have been following my work, new people who are just finding out about my art, and from the staff and interns at Art Whino. I even met some folks from DA! Now that I have made it over this 10 month hurdle of creating 60 pieces of work for the show, I am on to new things. I am taking a brief hiatus from exhibiting, other than the 1st Friday gallery walk at The Gallery Underground, so I can get back to work on a children's book I am illustrating for a great author named Robin Porter. I also have a pile of vinyl toys I am ready to customize, as well as some skateboard decks. My limited edition T-Shirts are selling so well (now you can get them at Art Whino) that I am working on some other designs, created specifically for clothing. You can still order your shirt at www.bryancollins.cartfly.com

Also, our new baby will be born in late March or early April, so I will be the happy daddy of two kids. This doesn't mean there will be any less art. In fact, there will probably be more since there will be another mouth to feed!

God has been blessing me beyond comprehension, so I am quick to give Him credit. Everything I do is because He gives me the ability to do it!

The "Proof of Faith" exhibit at Art Whino runs through February 15th. More more information, please contact:
