Skunk Punk in progress 1

Last night I began drawing for this painting which will be one of 20-30 for an upcoming exhibit with Aaron Jasinski at Art Whino. The official press release for the show will be sent out soon, but for now I will posting progress pics of my work as it comes along. This one will be called "Skunk Punk" and is acrylic on 11"x14" cradled wood.

This new painting, "Set List For Bass Player" is now available. First in a series of music-inspired art. Due to my musical background, this is probably a theme I will begin exploring quite regularly.

$1 ORIGINAL Drawing Auction on Myspace

Fellow artist Aaron Jasinski has inspired me to create a series of art paying homage to my other creative love: MUSIC. Since I was a full-time musician before becoming a full-time artist, my love for music should naturally be represented in my art. Jaskinski has been doing this for a while, and I decided I've been waiting too long.

I am auctioning this pencil drawing used to plan out the first painting. The drawing measures 8"x10" and is graphite on acid-free drawing paper. It has been sprayed with Prismacolor Fixative for protection. Bidding starts at just $1. Just go to www.myspace.com/godstattooguy and click the New $1 Original Drawing Auction blog. Bidding ends Thursday June 18th 2009. Have fun!
