Baby Yoda Is On The Way
After reposting the drawing I did of Princess Leia as a child, I asked all of you what other younger versions of Star Wars characters you'd like to see. The overwhelming winner was baby Yoda. "Wow," I thought, "How could all of these people have the same idea at the same time?" Well, I tend to live under a rock with making art full time, grinding away at the TOP SECRET project I've been teasing, getting three kids to baseball practices, etc. I was completely unaware that baby Yoda was a new character in the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. I did an internet search for it and found some video clips and said, "Ah! Now I get it. He's super cute." With that I put all of my other projects on hold and started the drawing you see here.
When Will He Be Ready?
After the initial two posts on Instagram I started getting messages to ask if baby Yoda prints would be ready before Christmas. I am hoping to have the original finished by the end of the week and if that happens, since I make professional prints right in my studio, God willing I will have the prints this coming Saturday at the Riverside Arts Market in Jacksonville, FL. If you are interested in the original, please email me now. If you want to pre-order a signed print, please email me as well. I can ship just about anywhere.
What Other Characters?
What other characters would you like to see created in kid version? Chewbacca was another highly requested one. Who else should I consider drawing? You can comment here on my blog or on the Star Wars posts on my Instagram account.
