Wednesday Addams Original Art and Prints

Wednesday Addams has been on my list of pop characters to draw for many years, and I finally created this 5x7 colored pencil piece of the brooding child. The substrate is Strathmore 400 series toned gray mixed media paper, and I added a little watercolor to the background since the mixed media paper holds up to it. The finished piece has been mounted to cradled basswood and varnished.

This piece  took longer than normal for a 5x7, because at the time of its creation, I was writing my first novel, Sewn Together. Dividing up the day between art, writing, admin, and raising a family, can be quite the challenge.

The original piece is sold, but prints are in my Etsy shop. You can also get them in Saint Augustine, FL at Zora Bora Gallery or Coconut Barrel, and in Jacksonville at the Riverside Arts Market.

As always, I thank you for your continued support, especially during these trying times. Art and literature can be great escapes. Stay hopeful, and know that the testing of your faith brings strength.
